Founder, Sole Owner + Chief Travel Designer

Anneke Marchese is the founder and sole owner of AM|FM Luxury + Adventure Travel, an award-winning, woman-owned agency specializing in custom luxury travel worldwide.

During her 13 years as a professional travel designer, Anneke has planned journeys to nearly every region of the world. Her portfolio includes private vacations, honeymoons, safaris, expeditions, complex multi-country itineraries, hosted groups, executive travel, corporate programs, and large-scale travel logistics for nationally recognized organizations.

Anneke’s personal travels have taken her extensively throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Hawai‘i, and the continental United States. For destinations she has not personally visited, she draws upon an established network of trusted local experts, hotels, guides, and destination partners to provide informed, reliable planning around the world.

Italy represents one of the deepest areas of Anneke’s professional experience. She has designed more than 100 custom journeys to Italy alone, from milestone celebrations and family adventures to honeymoons and complex, multi-region itineraries.

Hawai‘i was Anneke’s first great travel love and remains one of her deepest areas of firsthand destination knowledge. Across approximately 30 visits, she has experienced all six of Hawai‘i’s primary visitor islands: Kaua‘i, O‘ahu, Maui, the Island of Hawai‘i, Moloka‘i, and Lāna‘i. Her familiarity extends beyond resorts and popular attractions to the character, culture, landscapes, and travel style that make each island distinctly different.

Greece and Southern Africa have also become deeply meaningful parts of Anneke’s work. She has traveled to both destinations multiple times, spent a month exploring South Africa, attended ILTM Africa at the Norval Foundation in Cape Town, and personally leads immersive group journeys in Greece and Southern Africa. Her firsthand African experience also includes Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Egypt.

Anneke is known for making complex, custom travel feel easy. She combines beautiful accommodations with meaningful cultural experiences, excellent food, thoughtful pacing, and the practical details that allow travelers to relax and be fully present.

As the mother of two children with additional needs, Anneke also brings a deeply personal understanding of accessible and special-needs travel. She thoughtfully considers mobility, dietary requirements, allergies, medical equipment, sensory needs, family dynamics, and other details that are too often overlooked in traditional travel planning.

Under Anneke’s leadership, AM|FM has grown from a solo vision into an award-winning team of travel designers serving clients across the United States.

Whether she is planning a private safari, an executive journey, a multigenerational celebration, a romantic escape, or a complicated itinerary spanning several countries, Anneke’s clients are cared for from the first conversation until they return home.
